Biography

Bruno Mars, born as Peter Gene Hernandez, was born on October 8th, 1985 in the Waikiki neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up around music, and became the world's youngest Elvis Presley impersonator at age 4 with his uncle. He later began impersonating Michael Jackson at age 14.
He quickly left Hawaii after graduating high school to pursue his dreams. After facing many rejections because he didn't have a "clear" sense of his music (he has a mixed blues-reggae-folk-pop sound), he founded The Smeezingtons with his current backup singer, Philip Lawrence, and Ari Levine. The Smeezingtons gave him the extra push he needed to start his career. He started writing and producing songs for other artists, such as "Right Round" for Flo Rida, "F*** You" for Cee Lo Green, "Billionaire" for Travie McCoy, "Nothin' on You" for B.o.B., as well as so many others.
He is now well known for his great hits ''Grenade'', ''Just the Way You Are'', and "The Lazy Song". One of his most recent singles is "It Will Rain" written for the Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 soundtrack. He is currently working on his second album.
